A Complete Guide to the English Verb Tenses
Master the English verb tenses with this comprehensive guide!

Understanding how to talk about the past, present, and future is one of the most important steps in learning any language. In English, tenses help us describe when an action happens, whether it’s happening right now, already happened, or will happen later.

This book is designed to make English tenses clear and simple for you. We’ll explore each tense with clear explanations and practical examples. We’ll also look at comparisons between some of the most confusing tenses.

Timelines are included where I think they might be helpful, and colours have been used to really highlight the verb forms and differences between the tenses. This book is best viewed in colour.

Whether you’re an intermediate learner or advanced in English, this book will deepen your understanding and help you express yourself with accuracy and confidence.

A must-have resource for anyone looking to master English grammar!
A note about tense!
There are actually only two tenses in English; the present and the past. Continuous (progressive) and perfect forms are aspects, and we use modality to talk about the future. That said, for simplicity, I have chosen to use the term tense to refer to all the past, present, and future forms.
